Description
A gorgeous hybrid magnolia to brighten up any landscape!  Merrill Loebner Magnolia will do just that, displaying an abundance of beautiful, large, white with pink-blush, star-like blooms.  The blooms emit a light fragrance attracting nearby butterflies.  As the weather warms up, the flowers then give way to red, cone-like fruits that ripen in late summer providing food for the local birds.  The narrow, ovate, medium green leaves keep its color throughout the season and has little or no fall coloring.   A mature tree can grow 15-30' in height with equal spread.  Although adaptable to a variety of conditions, Merrill does best in average, moist, well-drained soil receiving full to partial sun.  Hardiness Zones: 5-9
