The Gladiator Allium is the plant that is going to make people stop dead in their tracks and say "WOW!! What is that?" This is one of the largest of all the allium, topping out at 3-4 feet tall. These are HUGE round flowerheads bigger than your fist. This will flower in mid May - June. Because it is a member of the onion family, some gardeners do report success using it as a wildlife deterrent. Plant in the fall in zones 4-8 in full sun. These bulbs will multiply and can be split after a few seasons. Allium are best planted 4-8" deep and 6"-8" apart.
