The Flying Dragon Orange is a unique ornamental looking citrus tree. It is an interesting small, thorny tree that produces edible, but very sour fruit that can be used as a lemon seasoning. The tree has curved shaped thorns and branches that contort which give the impression of a flying dragon. It makes for a great addition to yard. It is a deciduous tree and when the leaves fall yellow fruit will hang.  It also makes a great tree to Bonsai.

The fruits are green, ripening to yellow and are 3–4 cm in size similar to a lime and resembling a small orange, but with a fuzzy texture similar to a peach. The fruits also have distinctive smell from other citrus varieties and often contain a high concentration of seeds. It will produce a white flower with a pink stamen and has a very unique trifold leaf. With citrus trees the leaves give off a spicy smell when crushed. The fruit can be used to make marmalade and lemon seasoning.
