If you're in search of a specimen tree or shrub to make a splash in your yard, look no further!

The saucer magnolia is a landscape show-stopper. The stunning early spring blossoms have been said to open "like a thousand porcelain goblets," and lush summertime leaves are dark green and leathery, adding nice contrast to silvery-gray bark. One of the most popular flowering trees in the United States, the saucer magnolia is also widely planted in Europe.

We have another variety of Magnolia at our local nursery for $100. Couldn't resist the opportunity to pick up this little beauty for much less. Not only that, it's a much more beautiful specimen than what's at my nursery! Arrived in excellent shape. Planted and growing wonderfully! Very pleased.

I just received this tree via USPS. It was packaged beautifully, along with a Jane magnolia and three Sweetbay magnolias. I was expecting a small tree for the price, but this is a good-sized, 18" or more tree. Not a seedling. A real tree. It's dormant at the moment, but it's ready to break bud any day. I'm excited to watch it grow and even more excited to go back and scout some additional trees and shrubs for my yard.
