Description

All orders to California will be shipped bare root in accordance with state regulations.

Here we have the Balsam Fir. This conical-growing, coniferous evergreen is often a popular choice to use as a Christmas tree! The Balsam Fir features shiny, dark green needles about ½” - 1” in length and is quite fragrant. Not only can you use this fantastic fir as a Christmas tree, but it is an excellent choice to add to your landscaping as an accent, specimen, or windbreak. It is also grown for pulpwood and saw timber. The Balsam Fir prefers a cooler climate and provides food and shelter for wildlife. Reaching anywhere from 45’-75’ in height with a spread of 20’-25’, the Balsam Fir grows well in moist, cool, well-drained, acidic soil.
