with cascading branches. In late spring
it produces showy clusters of white flowers with white bracts held atop the
branches. The flowers will last for
several weeks, in the fall it is covered in an abundance of magnificent crimson
berries. The pointy leaves turn an
outstanding brick red in the fall. The peeling gray bark adds an interesting
dimension to the landscape. This variety
of Dogwood is vigorous and tolerant of most soils except very wet or dry. It has
green foliage throughout the season.
Lustgarten Weeping Chinese Dogwood is a multi-stemmed
deciduous tree that has a shapely form and gracefully arching branches. It will
require occasional maintenance and upkeep, and should only be pruned after
flowering to avoid removing any of the current season's flowers. It is a good
