Product Description
The Tumbleweed Worm Farm consists of two sturdy, nesting boxes with a hinged lid. The worms eat and breed in the top box where their food is placed. This box has a perforated base so that any liquid waste will drain through into the bottom box. Solid waste, called castings, remains in the top box. The castings make an excellent soil conditioner and can be harvested as required.
The bottom box or "catcher box" collects all the valuable liquid waste which is a byproduct of the worms. Diluting this with equal parts water makes an organic fertilizer solution that can you can use in your garden. There is a drain hole, so this can be poured off and used as required.
