Ooze Tube 45 Gallon You’ve heard many experts say that light and frequent irrigation is the most effective way to establish trees and woody ornamentals. The Ooze Tube™ is the first truly portable drip irrigation system that makes light and frequent watering possible, and it makes irrigating the "right way" cheaper and more convenient than the "old way."  The 45 gallon Ooze Tube is one of our popular products with professional contractors.   It holds a lot of water - over 45 gallons. It will keep a 5" caliper tree irrigate 3 weeks between refills! It fits on any type tree... multi stems, conifers... you name it! Its set up time is quick and easy and comes complete with everything you need except water. It places absolutely no lateral force against the trunk of the tree and it allows air circulation which prevents mildew formation and stem discoloration. Upon first receiving the Ooze Tube, it will come rolled on a wooden stake.  To complete the installation you will need: a hammer, and source of water for filling 2.  Before unrolling the Ooze Tube, remove all sharp objects from around the base of the tree. 3. Remove the two rubber bands and unroll the Ooze Tube. 4. Remove the bag of drip emitters stapled to the wooden stake and set it to the side. 5. With the fill and vent holes on the top side, wrap the Ooze Tube around the trunk the tree and align the two ends. 6. Join the two ends together and thread the wooden stake through the slots (just like belt loops) 7. Position the stake about 18 inches away from the trunk, on the uphill side of the tree. 8. Drive the stake in the ground using a hammer until it is firmly secured. 9. Begin filling the Ooze Tube with water and adjust as it expands to suit your fancy Note: If you do not like the look of the stake sticking up, you can carefully drive it further into the ground to hide it. 10. Now, you can decide where to insert your drip emitters.  You have alot of water to  work with and how you choose to use it is up to you.  Instead of sending the drip emitters pre-installed, we know that trees and woody ornamentals come in all shapes and sizes.  Some like alot of water and some do not.
