The White House comes fully assembled and ready to attract America's favorite back yard bird. With 28 rooms this mansion is sure to be the center of discussion in any backyard. Comes standard with all original Coates features including hinged doors for easy nest checks and clean out. With 28 compartments your Martins will feel at home and be ready to return year after year to their favorite 5-Star Resort in your back yard. The "Original" was introduced in the early 80's and has been the cornerstone of Coates' success and continues to set the standard in the industry. The features of the "Original" include all cool aluminum and stainless steel construction, reflective roof, ceiling panel for proper ventilation, porch dividers, hinged clean out doors, guard rails, top perch, door plugs, and all aluminum base plate.

  • Top Perch Rail - An extra long perch rail on top of each Coates Mansion is the preferred resting spot for Purple Martins to sit and watch you work around the house and yard.
  • Ventilated Roof - Coates Mansions are properly ventilated to be comfortable, especially in southern climates, and yet afford protection from natural predators. All Coates Mansions are built with a ventilated roof and ceiling plate. This design offers the same effect as the attic in your house. It provides a void air space between the reflective roof and top floor protecting the nesting cavities from extreme temperatures.
  • Reflective Roof - The bright silver roofs of Coates Mansions reflect the rays of the sun. Purple Martins are attracted to shiny objects and can spot the bright white exterior surfaces of Coates Mansions from far distances.
  • Hinged Doors - All model feature hinged doors for easy clean out and routine inspection of the nest cavities. This also provides an opportunity to show children what the nest and newly hatched birds look like.
  • Porch Dividers - This unique feature promotes 100% occupancy in Coates Mansions. Designed to prevent a natural tendency called "Porch Male Domination", this is one more reason Coates has a higher rate of occupancy than any other house on the market.
  • Guard Rails - An essential feature of any Purple Martin house is guard rails. They help hold in the new young birds from fledging too soon and falling prey to natural enemies. All porch areas on Coates Mansions are completely enclosed by guard rails.
  • Telescopic Pole - Any Purple Martin house should be installed with a telescoping pole. Coates telescoping pole systems offer the safest and easiest way to clean and inspect Purple Martin houses. Made to fit TP-12 and HD-12 Poles.
  • Door Plugs - Door Plugs are used to close your mansion during the off season. The plugs pop in and out with minimal pressure. They are made of aluminum to last the life of the house. Door plugs are included with the "Original" Mansion series.
